"Nature is the inspiration for my work. My time living in Pouch Cove, Newfoundland allows me to appreciate the force and beauty of the sea.
The breaking and shifting of waves serves as a metaphor for vulnerability and impermanence. In some of my pieces one can find fragments of
old fishing stages and flakes collaged into the work. This is my attempt to preserve a sense of the history of the place which existed as a fishing
community and what life once was for the people of this land surrounded by water."
